After numerous delays and setbacks, Anthem's Cataclysm event is now live. Including brand new story missions and a score attack based mode, this latest update (version 1.3.0) should give Anthem devotees a lot to dig into. There's a ton of new gear, expanded lore, and lots of enemies to shoot.
The main feature, the score attack mode, works by removing gear limitations and letting all players jump into the fray. You'll score points by capturing specific outputs, killing enemies, and generally performing well in the field. A seasonal currency will be awarded to players upon completion of each game that can be used for brand new gear, which is also seasonal.
You can read the full list of changes over on EA's support website. It doesn't seem like anything has been done to fix the game's loot system, which is likely to draw criticism from fans.
