Somewhere around the end of the PS2/beginning of PS3 era, RPGs turned their collective backs on the turn-based combat system, opting for the more action-RPG battles found in MMOs. That sucks. I like turn-based battles! It gives me time to think, strategize, and eat a sandwich. Who the hell wants to play a video game if they can't take a sandwich break at leisure?
