Publisher Bromio, (of Pato Box fame), has announced a release date for a new retro-infused cyberpunk adventure, put together by indie outfit Mecha Studios. Neon City Riders launches this Thursday on PC and consoles and looks like a cathartic bit of the old ultraviolence.

Players don the sinister hockey mask of Rick, (no, not that one), a vigilante who has grown sick and tired of his humble 'berg of Neon City being overrun by ruthless gangs. And so, armed with some meaty powers and whatever weaponry he can lay his grubby mitts on, Rick takes to the streets in '80s action movie fashion, determined to clean up the city once and for all. As you can see from the trailer below, Neon City Riders blends its cyberpunk overtones with high levels of fantasy and magic.
