Dauntless' second major patch brings myriad quality of life improvements

June 07, 2019 1 min read

Dauntless, one of the few current games that allows full cross-play between PC, PS4, and Xbox One players (and one of the few things that lets me wear sci-fi robot gauntlets, a ninja mask, and a poncho), has been chugging along. Folks are still digging into the endgame (or getting there), and before more content drops developer Phoenix Labs has been toiling away at some bug fixes and a few highly requested quality of life additions.

In addition to a more descriptive huntboard (quest giver), you're also getting a third dye region (to color your gear with) and an in-game bug report option. In terms of smoothing, there's a ton of other stuff there like better animations for specific creatures, optimization to ensure better performance, a shimmer effect on Kharabaks so they won't be quite as unseen, and numerous bug fixes.

Most notably, the "cancel/skip matchmaking" buttons are supposedly fixed! This has become a meme/headache for the community in recent days.
