Dissidia Final Fantasy NT's free edition is coming to PC and PS4 next month

From out of nowhere, Square Enix has announced that Dissidia Final Fantasy NT's free version will be coming to PC and PS4 on March 12, 2019. For anyone following, this is a confirmation of not only a PC port of the tag-team fighter but the free version's release in the West. Talk about a well-kept secret.

As the tweet states, players of the free version will be able to compete against those with the full one, so this likely means the PC port will be accompanied by a regular release. I don't know what the price will be, but I'm curious to see what the performance is like for this new port. It would also be pretty cool to have cross-platform multiplayer, though that might be a pipe dream.
