I was enthralled by The Witness when it first came out, and three years later, I feel like I'm in a place where I can go through the game again almost as if it were new. I've forgotten whole swaths of the island. I don't remember most of the puzzle logic and rules. Replaying it now won't be quite the same as before -- nothing ever will be -- but I'm hoping to recapture some of that magic of discovery.
Some people are naturally going to bounce off The Witness, but I maintain that it's worth trying even if you aren't that into puzzle games and even if you never end up finishing it. On the surface, it's just a game about many, manyline puzzles, but really, it's a game about learning and making breakthroughs.
