Epic Games is really proud of the progress they've made so far in the battle royale arena with Fortnite, and they took to the Game Awards to mention their latest mode -- a 50v50 war.
The gist is that two teams will duke it out until the last team is standing, and the mode is available now. Sadly, it's going to be cycled out it seems, as the mode is billed as a "limited time" addition through Sunday December 17. More modes are going to be rotated in eventually after this testing period.
Epic also reports that 30 million people have picked up Fortnite since it launched in July with a peak of 1.3 million concurrent users last weekend, and given that it's still in Early Access, that's not bad.
