Hideaki Itsuno, the director of games like Devil May Cry 2, 3, and 4, as well as the critically-acclaimed Dragon's Dogma, tweeted an apology to fans today for his lack of news at Tokyo Game Show. Itsuno told fans to be patient, as his new game is in development, and coming along smoothly.
"Sorry to not announce anything at TGS2017," Itsuno said. "Please wait as my project is progressing smoothly."
TGS is the best time to look at what lies ahead in the Japanese sphere of game development. With Itsuno absent from the lineup this year, it's reasonable that some fans would be disappointing. Still, the promise of a new Capcom game with Itsuno at the helm is a tantalizing thought.

TGSは発表無しでゴメンなさい。プロジェクトは順調なので発表までお待ち下さい。
What do you think the new game will be? Personally, I'm hoping for a sequel to Dragon's Dogmaor even a proper Devil May Cry 5.
