Nintendo has dropped another quartet of classic Sega Genesis titles into the Nintendo Switch Online library of 16-bit classics. All subscribers to the Expansion Pack service can check out the four new/old releases today, simply by downloading them from the Sega Genesis library.
The new selection runs a gauntlet of genres and contains some bonafide icons from the Sega Mega Drive/Sega Genesis golden years. Scrolling brawler fans can take to the streets with the excellent 1991 release Golden Axe II, or drop the axes and pick up a bazooka or two with 1990's goofy, sci-fi classic Alien Storm.
Also released in 1990, puzzle heads will find the still-compelling block buster Columns a fine way to while away a lazy afternoon, while one-on-one fight fans can check out Sega's 1996 Genesis port of Virtua Fighter 2,a highly ambitious release that bravely attempted to squeeze the smash-hit arcade into a humble 16-bit cartridge.
Alien Storm, Columns, Golden Axe II, and Virtua Fighter 2 are now available to download for all Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack subscribers via the NSO app on your Nintendo Switch dashboard.
