Earlier today, Sony's Latin American Facebook page posted, then quickly removed, a listing for a remake of Square's beautiful SNES RPG, Secret of Mana, for Sony consoles.
Although the removal of said post started the rumour mill turning, it was confirmed minutes later by Square Enix themselves, who have announced the 3D remake is indeed in the works, and will be available on PS4, PS Vita and Steam as soon as February 15 next year.
The celebrated RPG, released back in 1993, won fans the world over with it's colourful, detailed graphics, real-time battle system and whimsical story concerning a trio of young heroes, attempting to restore power to a legendary weapon in order to take down, you guessed it, a megalomaniacal empire.
The new trailer gives us a glimpse at the new version, currently in development, along with the sounds of an English dub, and a very un-1993 pre-order campaign. Oddly enough, given its Nintendo origins, no Switch release has been announced yet.
