Sega has announced that the Sega Ages ports of Puyo Puyo and Space Harrier will be releasing later this month on the eShop. Coming out August 22 for $7.99 each, you can expect these to be the definitive versions of these classic titles with the full range of Switch features available.
Puyo Puyo will feature the original arcade mode, a local multiplayer option, and online multiplayer support. Switch Online will be required for online play, but it's incredible to see such an old title get updated for modern platforms. Space Harrier won't see as dramatic an overhaul, though it will include the bonus "Komainu Barrier Attack" mode. This will start you off with a special shield that can plow through obstacles, though will disappear once you take damage.
From the few Sega Ages releases I've played, I've always walked away impressed. M2 does some fantastic work and I'm always happy when I see their logo pop up in a game's splash screen. Now if we could just get that Sonic 2 release out, I'd be happy as hell.
