You want more classics on Switch? You got it.
No franchise is safe from the Switch eShop, from the newer generation ports no one thought would be possible (Witcher 3) to just about every retro game ever made. If Disney could muster up a way to re-release their absolutely incredible NES line (headlined by Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers, but don't sleep on Adventures in the Magic Kingdom), they would. Well, if one company is up for re-releasing absolutely every game they've ever made, it's Sega.
Announced today, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Puyo Puyo 2 (look at this pair of twos over here!) will arrive on Switch on February 20. Each game will go for $7.99, and the former will have a few new features coming along for the ride. The classic competitive two player mode is back naturally, but the Sonic Mania drop dash mechanic is in, as well as a Super Sonic Mode (that enables the Super Saiyan boosted form from the start), as well as time trials and online rankings. Oh, and Knuckles is in.
Puyo Puyo 2 will sport two player online battles as well as online rankings, quick rewind, and a colorblind mode. These are pretty classy picks!
