Hello and welcome to the latest edition of the Giant Bomb Community Spotlight and I, @zombiepie, am once again honored to be your host this week! While many would have assumed this week would be quieter than previous ones, the opposite was true. With the launch of Mortal Kombat 11 and a steady supply of video content, the community was as busy as if we were in the middle of the Winter gaming onslaught! Hopefully the forums and wiki this week were as fun for you as they were for me! So, without further ado, let's jump into the site related housekeeping!
If you liked the Giantbomb Community Endurance Run, you will love Waypoint's Save Point community fundraiserrunning from 05/02/19 - 05/05/19! Austin Walker and team are going to put on a great show for a great cause: Trans Lifeline!

If you were a participant in this event and I somehow missed you, feel free to drop a comment with a link to your archive and I will happily include it next week. For those who are still interested in donating, here's a link to the team page.

As mentioned earlier, Mortal Kombat 11 is the big video game release of the week. Therefore, what are your impressions of its gameplay changes? Have you enjoyed the new customization options? What have been your experiences with the netcode? Does it compare favorably or negative to Mortal Kombat X or Mortal Kombat?
Okay everyone, this is a disclaimer every Giant Bomb user needs to be aware of from this point forward. If you absolutely want to talk about Endgame spoilers, here's a link to our community spoiler discussion thread.
Did any of you read Polygon's report on Epic Games' use of "perma-crunch" following the success of Fortnite? What's your reaction to the news? Is this news another rallying cry for unionization in game development?
Here's a problem I know everyone has experienced, but probably not thought about all that much. How do you handle different console ports having completely different button layouts for the same gameplay inputs? The example provided by the first post involve Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!! but there are many more examples of this modern gaming annoyance.
To no one's surprise, the tradition of Giant Bomb's database having in-depth wiki coverage of Mortal Kombat games continues with Mortal Kombat 11! This page talks about many of the changes from 10 to 11 and reviews every playable and story significant character.
Giant Bomb user Daavpuke announced their return to the wiki last week and here we have a testament of their hard work. After sinking in 300+ points on the Anno 1800 wiki page, it's looking vastly better than it originally did.
