Welcome to the latest edition of the Giant Bomb Community Spotlight! I, @zombiepie, am once again honored to be your host as we look back at the best community works from the previous week. With another month down, the site and its staff are jumping into the heart of summer. As such, be aware that several staff will begin taking vacations. Monday July 4th is a holiday in the United States and there will be no scheduled streams or video content on the site on that day. Also, Jan announced at the end of Run for the Hills 09 that he will be taking a much needed vacation and the feature will go on hiatus until he returns.
To continue the note from last week, the site's staff are working with ActBlue's Abortion Fund to help provide women with healthcare and abortion resources. If you have even a small amount to donate, please consider doing so. Over on GameSpot, the site has an even more exhaustive and in-depth article about what everyone can do to fight for reproductive rights in the United States.
Earlier this week, many community members experienced a 503 Error when they attempted to download old video content. For most, the issue has been resolved, but if there are any specific videos you cannot download or the error is still a problem for you, drop a comment in the linked thread.
Finally, some have been asking about the KEIGH 3 t-shirts that they have seen Tam, Lucy, and other GameSpot staff wearing from time to time. If you are interested, the t-shirts are now ON SALE on the GameSpot store!
Watching the new Best of @giantbomb and losing it all over again at the many faces of @unastrike as he slowly realizes that he will never be able to escape the manifestation of chaos that is Dan Ryckert. pic.twitter.com/NV0uC0h5u7— Seraphis Cain🀄️ (@SeraphisCain) June 28, 2022
Starting to scoop up all of the artwork I did for shows over the years. So hard to pick but these might've been my four favorite to make. pic.twitter.com/nPEkHI6UlI— Dan Auer (@danauer) June 29, 2022
I got anxious and had to do something little and easy so I made July's printable Kirby calendar early pic.twitter.com/40zKGdKefB— VoidBurger (AKA Jess) (@VoidBurger) June 30, 2022
Inspired by Dan's comments during the #29 Voicemail Dumptruck, jearum has come to realize that the duders have become our uncles and decided to make this as a tribute.
Again, jearum ran with an idea from the Bombcast #744 and envisioned Jan going up against one of the biggest threats to ever plague this site: Chicken Nuggets.
During Jeff Jeff Bizarre: OPM Gaiden Episode 2, Tam made a crack about Jeff and Evangelion and jearum couldn't stop thinking about it and ended up making this work of art.
It is safe to say that Dan and Jeff Grubb have a bit of a rivalry when it comes to Neon White, and as a result, jearum envisioned the two as characters in the game with this poster design.
cikame decided to take the Naacho Naacho scene from RRR and turn it into a fighting game stage and the participants in the fight as characters in Street Fighter II! Here are the results of their experiment and you can learn how they did it by clicking the link!
In case you missed it, you can catch Kone edited video in which Rorie's "idea" for a new Giant Bomb t-shirt design gets made into reality. Give it a watch and don't forget to thank them for their good work!
What would Jan look like if they were a character in the Saints Row franchise? Well, thanks to Kone, you don't have to worry about it just being in your imagination!
If you want to add members of the community to your Neon White Leaderboard, here's the Nintendo ID and Steam sharing thread! Post a comment or feel free to add any of the usernames already in the thread!

ZombiePie wonder aloud if lessons from Next Fest could inform future revisions of Steam's storefront so its front page and UI/UX isn't such a colossal clusterfuck whenever a massive sale drops. Likewise, Moderator ZombiePie returns to blogging about old-school adventure games with the first of a two-part series on The Journeyman Project 2: Buried in Time! How well does the game's structure and puzzles stand up?
BRG takes to the site to continue their retrospective on the Far Cry franchise but this time they examine Far Cry 6. Use the first link to read why they think the game will go down as an all-time low point for the series and Ubisoft. Also, this being the start of a new month means BRG is back with a write-up about their most anticipated game releases in the coming days! Check out which games they are excited to play and share yours!

Shindig is happy to announce that Konami's eFootball 2022 is sorta working! Is it a game work playing for more than an hour? Well... about that. Give their latest blog a read to find out why the improvements should not be viewed as a "return to form!"
Moderator Gamer_152 wraps up their "Not E3" work for this year and ends it with a bang. This week they've got one nice showcase, one nasty one, and a "weird surprise."
What Games Have Absurd Stories But You Love Them Anyways? *Possible Spoilers* (By: @finaldasa)
What are your favorite video game stories that are absolutely absurd or incoherent? Can you think of a video game story that's so stupid that you cannot help but love it?
Stuntfest by Pow Wow Entertainment recently got a trailer! What are your first impressions of the game? Remember when Stuntfest was supposed to come out along with Wreckfest?
What's everyone's gauge on when Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp comes out? Do you think a 2022 release is too tight? Do you think 2023 or 2024 is too conservative?
The weather is really starting to heat up, so, how about everyone in the community share and vote for their favorite "original" Kool Aid flavor! If you are asking me, I have been a part of "Team Grape" since a child!
Under what circumstances do you skip cutscenes, dialogue, or storytelling in video games? Are you someone who skips cutscenes during a first playthrough? Vote and discuss the matter with the rest of the community!
Here's an interesting discussion thread on the forums, but when was the last time a video game made you gasp? Was it a small indie title or a big AAA game? Share the game that last shocked you with the rest of the community!
The topic has come up before but Alfred_Vincent_Svent decided to create a list of "Japanese Games That Need Translations" whether they be official or unofficial fan translations. Give it a read and think about making one of your own!
JoshuaHelm took a stab at ranking every single The Legend of Zelda game they have played. There are definitely some "hot takes" to be had in this list, and after reading theirs, consider making a list of your own when you can
We have TWO wiki pages this week because the first is a call for more examples from the community. For the "Announced and Released on the Same Day" page, the site is looking for more examples of video games that released on the day of their trailers or conference "World Premiere." Right now, the site has six examples, but there are probably more that we haven't thought of yet.
Second, the Giant Bomb wiki sure does have a character page for Archie Andrews of Archie comics fame, but as you can see it is... UHHHHHH!
