Luigi's Mansion games are not really known for being scary. Sure, they may have a few jump scares scattered throughout their haunted halls, but Resident Evil they ain't. If anything, the series is what you'd get if you could "play" Disneyland's Haunted Mansion ride.
However, at E3 this year, Nintendo set up a massive hotel-themed demo booth for Luigi's third ghostly game and managed to create something so frightening, so revolting that I cannot in good conscience recommend anyone else visit the booth for the rest of the convention. Because if you do, you just end up in a catatonic state when you see the eldritch tragedy that is me under a dark light.
