We'll likely get our first real look at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's campaign at Gamescom

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which is not Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (I will never get tired of pointing that out), just unveiled its multiplayer component, and it was a pretty massive reveal.

We got tons of info on just about every facet of it, but one question mark remains: the campaign. There were plenty of first-hand writeups from press at this year's E3, but getting the goods: like a full video of a level from the campaign, would be great. Although info is vague that will likely be happening "soon," according to the game's narrative director Taylor Kurosaki.

How soon? Well at least one other developer is pressing that it will be very soon, which just so happens to line up with Gamescom's August 20 start date. With all the talk about how controversial the campaign could be I'm anxious to see it for myself. I don't think cherry-picked gameplay teases will do it though: I want the real thing come October.
