I've been waiting for this moment for a long time. In fact, I think it was over five years ago that I first started ranting about it. By granting the Zelda license to Brace Yourself Games, Nintendo has signaled to the world that they are willing to work with indie developers on publishing titles in their biggest franchises.
It's something they've dabbled with for years, starting with the Super Meat Boy, Shantae, Ikachan, and Bit.Trip levels in WarioWare D.I.Y., but now it appears that they are finally going whole hog with the concept, and I can't wait to see where this is all headed.
